"Who's Tess?" Wolverine thought to himself, not recognizing the boy either. However, instead of blurting out his thoughts, he realized that the best thing right then would be not to speak on the subject. "Why don't we all go inside an get some breakfast?" he suggested, "I doubt you all have eaten for quite some time."
"Complaining about who you should have saved isn't going to help any of us," Andrew added into the conversation and bit his lip in thought. "But.. yeah.. who else is in here?"
A quiet moan came from the corner of the vehicle. When being tossed inside, Melody had hit her head against the back wall, and, as she woke up, Melody found that her head was still throbbing in pain.

Calista sighed, she knew that Tess was only trying to make her feel better-though she knew the girl must be miserable herself. "Thanks." she said in acknowledgement to what the girl was doing, but did not have the heart to tell her that if anything happened to Krystal it would be her fault as she let her go. She sighed inwardly then, things seemed rather bleak from where she was. She still had not figured out a plan on how they all might be able to escape and who knew where they were being taken-and without the use of their powers-it would be much harder to fight their way out. "Listen," Calista told Tess softly. "The other X-Men will watch out for your brother," she told her, not wanting to dwell on the other possibility that he was not with them. She then turned her attention as a moan came from the corner of the vehicle. "Are you alright?" Calista asked gently as she tried to make her way rather gingerly over to her.
Darius groaned having forgetting all about Jack until Shawn and Ben mentioned him. This was simply going from bad to worse. Part of him was tempted to fly after them and risk capture just to make sure both Krystal and Nightcrawler were alright. He then turned as he heard Dan's voice and his eyes softened as he glanced at the wounded boy. When he heard him mention a girl by the name of Tess, he could only assume that she was the girl with him, and he felt a sense of pity for him-for he knew all too well what it was like to have someone you loved taken from you. "Let me see your wound," he said instead to Dan, knowing that he had to stop the bleeding.

"The same way you eat when they are not captured or risking their lives," Wolverine shot back at Ben, annoyed that Ben had the nerve to question what he suggested. However, with a look from the Professor, Wolverine calmed down and became more reasonable, "Do you really think you should be out there fighting, malnourished?"
"My head hurts," Melody told the girl that was crawling up to her in the van.

"Melody?" Calista asked, thinking that the girl's voiced sounded like hers, but she was not to sure. A frown crossed her face then at her words, knowing that she did not have the power to heal, and even if she did it would be blocked by that blasted collar around her neck. She then gently rested the girl's head on her lap, not knowing what to say. "We'll find a way out of here," she told her gently instead, though she wondered how it would be done.
As Dan came up to him, Darius placed a hand on the wound and quickly began to drain himself to heal it. At this point, he could only hope that the bullet was still not lodged in the boy's shoulder, knowing that they would have to dig it out if it was.

"Sorry." Darius remarked as he continued to heal the wound.
Calista sat quietly with Melody's head still in her lap. If they had their powers, they would be set. She knew she could easily blast her way out of the van. So this is what it feels like to be a regular human, she thought almost bitterly. All of her life, she had just wanted to be normal, and now when her powers were taken away by the collar, she found that she needed them the most. I hope Darius, Krystal, Dan and the others are alright, she thought, remembering the exchange of the gunfire that had taken place before she was taken.

Darius glanced at the wound, it seemed to be nearly gone. "It should not be much longer." he replied as he drained himself faster to speed the healing. He could understand Dan's feelings, but he worried that going after his sister would be too dangerous. Yet, he decided to hold his tongue. He hardly knew him, nor did he feel it was his place to tell him what he could or could not do.
Calista sighed again, but said nothing. In truth, there was little to say. She was worried about Krystal-praying that the girl had somehow managed to escape. She was also concerned for Dan. She knew that the boy had been shot, and though Darius had started to heal the wound earlier, the injury was still serious. Darius. Her thoughts returning now to him. Though she was thankful that he was not taken with them, she found herself missing him now more than ever. She had always depended on his strength and now, while she faced what may be the most terrifying moment of her life-she felt utterly alone.

Darius finished healing Dan before replying. He was worn from draining himself, but at this point he could care less. "I don't know." he replied. "Krystal and Nightcrawler are tracking them now." he added. He then studied Dan. "You aren't planning to go after them on your own are you?" he questioned.
Calista sat in silence, listening to Tess hum a tune. "That's a lovely melody. You hum it well," Calista remarked to Tess quietly. "Did you learn it from your mother?" she asked her.

"It's X-Men," Darius responded. "And do you think your sister wants you to get yourself killed?" he challenged. "How will that help her? Listen, we'll get your sister back, but if you want to help, don't go running off on your own." He studied Dan then. "Don't make the mistake in believing that you are the only one who has lost someone they care deeply for," he added quietly.
Calista nodded at Tess's words. "Hey, take it easy." she said as she slammed her head against the back of the van.

Darius groaned inwardly. This was just going from bad to worse. More than anything he wanted to go after them, but if Krystal and Nightcrawler were close to the van, their presence could put the other two in harms way. "Give Nightcrawler and Krystal a bit more time," he replied. "I know you want to find your sister, but recklessness will get us nowhere. Chances are it will only make things worse. The best thing any of us can do is come up with some plan of attack," he said. This wait was killing him too and it took all of his willpower not to give into the desire to give chase as well.
"Are you alright?" Calista asked her, hoping that the girl did not injure herself to badly. How would she be able to explain to Dan (when they found him) that his sister had injured herself? She sighed inwardly. Things seemed to be growing more grim as the moments passed. They had to find a way to escape before things got any worse.

"Fine." Darius replied, not in the mood for another argument-which seemed to be all that he was doing lately. He was hardly sure if that would be enough time for Nightcrawler and Krystal to get back, though he hoped so. If not, he knew it would end up being another goose-chase and he was utterly sick and tired of those by now. Walking over to the others he turned his attention to Shawn. "While we were fighting, was your gun set to kill or stun?" he asked him. If they had at least one man alive, and could find him, perhaps they could force him to tell them exactly how the mutants there were kept.
"Alright," Calista replied to Tess, though she was still concerned about her. She knew that the girl could be just saying that was alright, so she would not worry about her. With that she gently set Melody down and crawled to another part of the van, ignoring the burning in her shoulder as she did so. As the moments passed, she felt herself growing light-headed. Raising a hand to her forehead, she closed her eyes for a moment as she tried to force herself to focus on the situation at hand. By this point, she was unaware of how much blood she had lost, though she knew that she would probably collapse if she did receive medical aid soon. Hating how powerless she was, she began to feel around in the darkness, trying to find something that she might be able to use to help them escape.

(Yes, she does. *calls out* Smeag! Where are you?)
Darius nodded at Shawn before turning to search the surrounding woods to see if he could find a man alive and force information from him.
Calista paused and looked back at Tess. "Trying to see if I can find something in here that can be used in an escape or at the very least use as a weapon against our captors," she whispered in reply. I won't be anyone's slave. Not again. she thought to herself. Nor will I let my friends be. she thought, her lips tightening in determination. She didn't care how weak she was. She would fight to the end to protect those with her if it came down to it.

Wolverine waited to hear out what everyone was saying and blurt out, "Look, you guys won't survive out there at the condition you are right now." Anger penetrated through his voice, and his movements were robotic and spontaneous.
"I think what Logan is trying to say," Xavier spoke up to calm Logan and everyone else down, "is that it is more important to know where they are headed than where they are." Nodding to Logan, Xavier agreed, "And I do believe getting something to eat sounds good." He looked over to Iceman, who had previously whispered something in Xavier's ear while the conversation was at its peak. "Come on," Xavier softly spoke, "You can tell me everything after we get inside."

Darius walked quickly through the woods, only pausing briefly to check the men on the ground. Finding those he came across dead, he had to bite back his frustration. Hearing a groan from one man off to the side, Darius quickly made his way to him and jerked the man up roughly by the cuff of his shirt. Shaking the man violently to rouse him, he glared at him feeling nothing but hate for the man whom he knew nothing about save for the fact that he helped to take Calista and the others from them. "Where are they?" he demanded, resisting the urge to break the man's neck.
Calista turned slightly and sighed. She knew the girl was right, but she did not want to just sit around and wait for their fate. "Oh, they are armed with guns alright," she told Tess bitterly as she continued to fumble around in the darkness. She could care less than she was only wasting valuable energy, energy that she did not have. "It would be nice though if they had gotten careless and we could disarm them." She almost laughed at the thought. What a foolish idea that was-with them still being collared and all. Saying nothing, she stopped rummaging around, her movements leaving her feeling unusually weak. Closing her eyes, she prayed that help would find them soon.

Xavier had traveled with Iceman back inside of the mansion, and Wolverine had followed behind. Realizing there was no one else beside the three of them, Logan turned around and began to walk back towards where he had come back while he shouted back, "I'm going to get those mongrels," to Xavier.
Annoyed at the group's reliance to disobey his orders, Logan stomped back to the group and, upon finding Ben with Dan seen in the distance, he asked, "Well, aren't you coming in?"
Andrew and Storm jolted their heads towards the back doors the moment they were smashed open. Realizing the bear was Krystal, Storm was the first to climb out of the van, afterward turning around to help the others out of the van. Melody lay in the back; her head was still throbbing, and the noise from the shattered doorway did not help.
