Calista struggled in the man's grip. Though she was weak, the fear of what may happen drove her to resisit like that of a caged animal. Trying to summon her energy powers she found much to her dismay that it was blocked as a shock was sent through her body. Surprised that she felt the discomfort from such a mild shock, she realized that her ability to absorb energy in all its forms must be blocked as well. Darius, someone, help! she thought as she began to kick at the man with all her might.
Darius turned, ready to go back to her at once, but found her nowhere in sight. Dread filled him then, sensing at once that something had happened to her in the short time that he had turned his back. In his heart, he knew that she had not run off. He knew she could be reckless, but the look in her eyes told him that she intended to wait there, where he had thought she would have been safe. "Calista!" he cried. With that he flew over to the spot where she had been, trying to scan for any clues for where she might have been taken.

With a kick to his stomach, the man quickly let go of Calista and dropped her to the ground to instanteously recover and grab her my the mouth again. A view men, not far off, saw the sight and ran to his aid. One of them, also, grabbed a hold of Calista, and the others made sure no one was going to interfere, aiming their guns into the darkness.
The two men carried the reckless girl off, through the woods, and tossed her into the back of the van with the others. They soon called out the known signal, and ever worker, scattered throughout the field, ran towards the vehicle and climbed inside. With the last entrant, the van whirled to a start and began to drive off.

Calista grunted as she was thrown hard into the back of the van, a searing pain ripping through her shoulder when she landed. The last thing she remembered before passing out was the sound of the engine roaring to life. When she slowly regained consciousness, the first thing she became aware of was the pain in her shoulder. Next, she became aware of the ground moving below her as their captors drove them along. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and with a groan she tried to sit up. She had no idea where they were heading, and the darkness was hardly comforting. In the gloom of the van, she managed to make out the forms of others there. "Hello?" she whispered, wondering who else had been taken.
Darius cursed to himself, guessing that she had been taken somewhere into the woods. "You wouldn't happen to have some kind of futuristic weapon that would happen to help us search these woods faster, would you?" he asked Shawn.

Calista turned recognizing the voice as belonging to the girl who had just joined them. As her eyes adjusted to the gloom, she gingerly made her way over to Tess and pulled her into a comforting hug. "Don't worry," she told her gently, recognizing at once that the girl had been crying. "We'll find a way to get out." she told her.
Darius growled under his breath at the news that the van had gone, thoroughly frustrated now. First he had failed to protect Calista while they were under fire, now he had let her get captured too. He wasn't any more thrilled that the girl who had just joined them was taken as well, and who knew who else they had lost. He turned as Krystal came to join them. At least she was alright, though she had a collar around her neck, and he briefly wondered what it was for-though if had to guess, he thought it was somehow used to manipulate or block their powers. "We are going to have to track them somehow. "There has to be one of these bozos left who we can force to talk." he added, referring to those that had attacked them, anger laced in his voice.

"What happened?" Wolverine growled, running out to join the group with Xavier trailing behind in anguish. He glanced around at everyone's faces and stared into the abyss of the woods to only come back to the group and await the nearest answer.

Darius glanced at Krystal. "Well, until we get that collar off, you aren't going anywhere." Darius told her. "Calista would kill me if I allowed it" he said. He then averted his gaze, trying to hide his own anguish. He knew he had failed her. I should have stayed with her, he thought in self-loathing. If anything happens to her now, I will never forgive myself. He then turned to Logan, his question interrupting his thoughts. "A group we know nothing of came and kidnapped some of our own." he replied.
Calista glanced at Tess, knowing she was worried about her brother. "Dan?" she whispered, looking around, hoping that he would respond if he was there. "Where are you?" she called again, trying to see if she could recognize his form in the darkness.

"Well, does anyone have any idea on how that collar operates?" Darius asked. "A high energy source is probably too dangerous to use to remove it."
Calista put her hand on Tess's shoulder before she pulled her into another hug. "You did everything you could for him," she told Tess quietly. "We can't think the worst yet. He may have escaped somehow." she said, hoping that one of the other X-Men had managed to save him.

Darius glanced at Shawn briefly. What a bleak world it would be if such collars are common, he thought to himself.
"I'm fine," Calista replied, her voice strained. I can't let her see that I am afraid too, she thought to herself. In truth, the pain in her shoulder from the bullet wound had increased and she knew that the injury had been aggravated when she was tossed in the van. "We'll find a way to get through this..." she added, determined to put on a calm front. She then turned to look at Tess. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I got your name-even though I did travel back in time..." she added a bit sheepishly.

^ Ok. Good luck Smeag.
Calista smiled at the girl. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Tess. I'm Calista Pierce." How odd, she thought to herself. The girl had the same last name as Krystal. Could they possibly be related? she wondered, although she knew that just because a person had the same last name did not mean any blood relations.
Darius sighed, out of ideas to stop Krystal from going. Knowing the girl, if they denied her now, she would just try to find the place on her own, which would put her in greater danger. "I won't fight it either," he replied with a sense of finality, although he knew Calista would probably be wroth with him for going along with it. But he knew that arguing with Krystal would only waste time, and time was already against them.

"Krystal!" Calista exclaimed as Tess alluded to the girl. "Krystal!" she called again. When she got no response, she drew in a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves. She could hear Shawn's words echoing in her mind. 'You did a lovely job watching over your friend.' Please let her be safe, she prayed silently, hoping that one of the X-Men had gotten the girl out. "I hope so." she replied to Tess. "I was suppose to watch her, and I failed miserably. If she is not here-which I don't want her to be-I hope one of the X-Men found her." With that she crawled forward to try to see if she could spot the girl when a sudden sharp pain shot through her arm, causing her to fall back, a slight hiss escaping from her lips-and she could only hope that the girl did not notice.
Darius groaned, not liking the idea of Krystal going out alone. He had already lost Calista. He did not want to lose Krystal as well. But what could he say? He could not make himself invisible to search for them. “There has to be some way for at least someone else to go with you,” Darius stated. “Or at least for one of us to stay in contact with you.” he added.

"You guys don't have to scream," Andrew sarcastically commented, annoyed of being in the van with a bunch of girls, "this van isn't that big."
Xavier, understanding Krystal's logic, determined that she would have to leave soon. However, agreeing with Darius, he did not want Krystal to go alone. "Why doesn't Nightcrawler follow behind you?" he suggested.

"Whatever we do," Wolverine added in, "we have to do it soon," noting the small peak of sunrise that was coming up to the east.
Xavier heard Krystal out, and he sympathized with her, but he still preferred not to have her travel alone. "You can do whatever you wish, Krystal, but, I would prefer that Nightcrawler follows you, just to make sure you are safe."
"Name's Andrew," Andrew smirked, not that anyone would see, "I was taken from the Mansion."

"I'm fine." Calista replied, not wanting to let Tess know that she had been shot, though she knew that once daylight came, all chance of that was lost. She smiled slightly at Tess's words, but she could only shook her head, knowing that the girl probably could not see her movements. "No." she said flatly. "When I traveled back in time to save Krystal, Shawn told me to watch her. A lot of good I did in that," she added bitterly. She then turned to Andrew as the boy spoke. "So you got taken too?" she remarked. "Just how many of us are here?" she mused aloud.
Darius sighed. Wolverine was right. If wanted to see their friends again, they had to move soon. He gave up arguing with Krystal-if the Professor was fine with her searching, then so be it. Deep down, he knew that Krystal was probably the best choice to go and search, but that still did not keep him from worrying. On the surface, things looked simple enough, but he also knew that sometimes the unexpected could happen. If this night did not prove it-what did? None of the expected to be attacked and as a result several of their own were paying the price.

"That may be." Calista replied. "But she is one of my closest friends." She sighed then. "I made a vow to myself to watch out for her-and what do I do, just let her get taken?" she asked. I deserved to get shot for it, she thought to herself. She then glanced around the van. She no longer cared what happened to her, but she knew that if she had any chance at all she would try to make sure that Tess, Andrew and whoever else was with them got a chance to escape.
Darius watched as Krystal and Nightcrawler left and turned away as they disappeared from sight. Fury and frustration was welling up within him. Right now, all he wanted to do was to find one of those men and force one of them talk-if any were even still alive. "So are we just supposed to wait?" he asked, an edge to his voice.
