Calista headed toward the old school house, anxious to talk to the Professor. They just had to find someway to make a deal with Shawn to save Krystal. It hardly seemed fair that she was still alive and her friend was not. ____________________________________________________ Darius was about to follow Calista inside, but paused for a moment, not sure if bringing her body in without warning would be a wise choice.

"She died for us." Calista said quietly, unable to hide the pain her voice. "To make a long story short Gambit, Darius and I set off to find Kira and Krystal-and I guess Pyro if he went after them. A battle then took place between Darius's clone and the rest of us." she said, leaving out the fact how the clone had nearly killed her and Dan. "Then we were attacked by both Storm and Melody who are mind-controlled by Jack. A lightning bolt was about to strike both Darius and myself, but she took the blow." Calista paused for a moment then, not knowing what else to say. "Where Kira is now, I have no idea” she added a bit sadly. “And just so you know, two more students have joined us. The boy was injured in the fight against the clone, but Darius seemed to have healed most of his injuries.” she told Nightcrawler. After a moment’s pause, she spoke again, urgency now in her voice. “ We need to talk to the Professor," she finally said. "We met someone who can save her. He can travel back in time to keep the event from occurring. But he wants to make a deal."
(I don’t think my characters got Dan and Tess’s names yet-since I thought that their introduction was interrupted by Storm-but I may be wrong)

Logan sat on the outside wall, smoking a cigarette as he watched the jet landing. His head tilted to the side as his thoughts went though the prospects of who could own the jet. Watching the students climb out, he immediately threw aside the cigar and walked over towards the jet, only to be taken on a side track when smelling a new defining scent. He quickly passed by Tess and Dan, seeing that they were introduced to the group, but, walking up towards Shawn, he unsheathed his claws at Shawn's neck and interrogated, "You might you be, bub?"

Darius sighed, Krystal was no burden to him, what was torturing him was remembering how she died. He thought it wrong to release her just then, but in the end finally acquiesced. "If you wouldn't mind, though she truly is no burden" he replied. Calista was about to answer Nightcrawler when she heard Logan's voice behind her as he interrogated Shawn who had stood behind Darius and herself. “Logan, please wait.” she said calmly. “This is Shawn, and we need his help.” she added. Meanwhile Darius then spoke to Nightcrawler. “He is the one Calista just told you about, the one who wants to make a deal with us to save Krystal.”

Logan stared at Shawn for a moment and kept a heavy eye on him as he sheathed his claws. Backing up a step, Logan persisted with a constant stare as he speechlessly motioned Shawn forward with a slight sideways nudge of the head.

"I'll take that risk," Darius muttered as he glared at Jack before turning his attention back to Nightcrawler and nodded grimly at Shawn's warning. "As would I." Calista echoed. She then turned back to Nightcrawler. "Where is the Professor?" she asked. "We need to speak with him at once. Shawn is only willing to help us at a price."

"A price?" Logan questioned, liking the approach the man was taking but not particularly the man taking the approach, "What kind of price you asking?"

Calista and Darius turned to glance at Shawn awaiting his answer. He mentioned payment before, but it was for that very reason that needed to talk to the Professor.

"Interesting bargain," Darius remarked. "And suppose you do settle for a date, are you looking purely for a volunteer or do you plan to search the girls here until you find the perfect one?” he asked. Calista listened with some interest at his terms, knowing it would probably be easier to fill the date bargain than the money one. Still she knew that nothing could get done without the approval of the Professor first. "Well, at least now we have some idea of your terms," Calista remarked. "Shall we go inside to speak with the Professor?" she asked and headed inside without waiting for an answer, so anxious was she to let Professor Xavier know about their plans for a deal so they could start their plan in motion.

Darius nodded in greeting as Ben, Tess and Dan joined them. He then turned back to Shawn. "She kept mostly to herself." he replied. "Calista was probably the closest to her-although she did get along with Ben, Nightcrawler, Gambit, and myself." He then stared straight ahead silent for a moment before speaking again. "Which is probably why she is going to drive herself crazy unless this can be settled," he added more to himself. __________________________________________________________________________ Calista walked through the ground floor of the old school building looking for Professor Xavier. "Professor?" she called, hoping he was somewhere near.

"Yes, m'dear," the Professor scooted himself up to Calista and gave her a warm smile, "I am glad to see you back, and, if I may ask, where are the others?"

"Professor," Calista greeted him back with a warm smile. "The others are talking outside I believe." she replied. She then looked away, trying to hide the tears that formed in her eyes as she tried to form the words, though she knew he could just search her mind. "Professor, Krystal is dead." she said softly. She paused again, not really wanting to explain the details verbally again as she stared at the ground. After a long moment of silence, she finally spoke again, getting straight to the point. "But there is someone who could save her, if we are willing to make a deal with him."

The Professor's heart was grieved with sorrow the moment he had heard the news of Krystal, and he was not as optimistic as Calista about the promises of this newcomer. "Let me see him," the Professor instructed Calista, with a high sounding of sadness continuing to penetrate his voice.

Calista nodded. "He's outside with the others," she said quietly. We have to try, she thought to herself. I could never live with myself if it we did not. She should never have died for me, Her thoughts were racing through her mind as she was willing to risk just about anything for a chance to save Krystal.

"Let's go and see them then," the professor motioned Calista onward with a fake smile and a small movement towards the outside of the building.
