Kira shut her eyes and gave a big sigh right before she stepped out a few feet. Stopping about a yard or two away from the cell, Kira's eyes fluttered around in thought; she turned her head so her eyes were marking the wall to the side of the cell. "Pyro," she began softly and innocently, "I need to know. Do you like me?"

(*is excited but still has trouble doing horrible things to my characters at the same time*)
Tears began to water in Kira's eyes, but she kept them mild enough not to be noticed. Speechless, Kira walked on not wanting to even have asked to hopefully re-leave herself of such heartache. Heart thumping with sorrow, Kira turned the corner of the hallway to finally disappear from Pyro's sight. Her eyes were still planted towards the ground as she strutted out of the jail slowly, gracefully, and slagging.
Bam.
Kira walked head-first into one of the main jail guards, to her thoughts, and had fallen back towards the ground. Innocently she fell, and brutally she was taken back up by her arm aggressively being dragged off of the ground in the desire of not being pulled from its socket. Kira's heart skipped a beat right before her eyes wandered into the eyes of the man. Instinctively, she pulled back, and, once she realized that wouldn't work, she flamed up, causing the man to immediately release and the man coming up behind her to fly back at hit the wall parallel to Pyro's cell.
Panting, Kira slowly backed up away from the man, slowly dissolving the flame from around her. She wanted to run back to Pyro, but she figured she shouldn't. Instead, she took a leap past the man and ran down the second hallway to halt in a moment at three other guards, who had heard the commotion, walking towards her. Kira gulped loud enough for her ears to clearly hear and set herself up to attack any daredevil that may come near.
The man Kira had originally run into had his right arm burned from the hand to the elbow, and he had walked over to the other man and helped him up with his left arm. Nodding, the first man indicated to the other that of secondary protocol. Nodding back, the man reached into his back pocket and pulled up a knock-out gun, slowly walking back towards where Kira was standing.
The three men stood, provoking Kira for the whole time, and she continued to move backward to try to find another exit out of this jail. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the two men standing, one armed, and her head jolted over towards them the moment she heard a bang from a gun. It cannot be told which hit sooner, but only the outcome can be said. Kira, being hit by the knock-out bullet, fell to the ground directly below her, and, the two men in Pyro's angle of eyesight were engulfed in a series of flame as they both fell to try to get the flame out.
-----------------
A few other men walked out of the door on the other end of the hallway. Walking past Pyro's cell, four of the men helped the two burned men put out the flame and walk back towards critical care. The other three walked over to talk a bit to the three jail guards before picking up the knocked-out Kira and walking back past Pyro's cell into the door on the other end of the hallway.

Skylar sat in his chair. Legs were placed on the counter as his eyes were fixed on the televisions, and his fingers casually motioning nuts from the small bowl on the counter to his mouth. The security room, besides Skylar, was vacant, and he would not wish for it any other way. Such entertainment was best absorbed alone.
A smile crept up on his face as he watched Kira wake up in his set trap. He solely chuckled at her misery as a few more nuts were taken into his ruling mouth. "When would you like to continue?" a voice interrupted Skylar's excitement, but he remained fixed, looking at the television screens. "I think now would probably be a good time," he said, noticing that Kira was moving as far away from the clone as she could.
"How far do you want to go into it?" the man continued to ask, unsure of exactly what Skylar was referring to.
Skylar took a deep breath and scanned past all of the television screens multiple times. "Let's just get her out of there. The rest can wait for night."
Nodding, the man turned around, scampering out of the room as a dog who was just let out of its leash, but knew it wouldn't get far without being noticed, and he grabbed the nearest intercom to get in contact with the lair. "Hello," he casually began, "Orders."
It took a few moments for a voice to respond, but, soon enough, a coarse, obviously technologically changed voice came through, "What would the orders be?"
"Get her out of there. The live one. Wait until later for more orders."
"Alright," the man responded, "Will do. Out." With that, the man walked out to the kitchen to pick up a few articles of food and dropped them right inside of Pyro's cell before walking away.

The man continued to walk onward, not noticing that the food had hit him. Walking into the main room, he turned upfront to look at Skylar, who was once again smiling and staring at the plethora of television screens.
"He doesn't seem happy," the man spoke the obvious to Skylar, "should someone go out and talk to him?"
Skylar remained silent, hoping the man would answer the question for himself, but, when no such hope was coming, he finally spoke up. "No, we will not. It will be so much more fun to speak with him tomorrow morning, after all." Skylar remained fixed on the television screen of Kira, who was laying on the ground, wondering where she was and what she was doing there. "Very fun," Skylar smiled and leaned forward into the microphone on the counter. "Go," he meagerly ordered.

The moon was must past the center of the sky, and the night was growing old. A darkness covered the sky as a van rolled onward. It has left the lair and went towards the mutant jail. At the back entrance, two men jumped out of the van, opened the back doors, and carried the corpse of Kira from the van, through the jail, and placed it outside of Pyro's cell. A trail of burn-marks from fire was strategically placed against the wall, and Skylar's plan had begun.
Leaving the scene of the accused murder, the men left to return where they came from, announcing, through walkie-talkies, that the bait was placed.

The man who had received the message walked into the control room in order to report the situation to Skylar. Sitting at a table eating some breakfast, Skylar soon put down his food to walk over to the television, looking through the switches and, finding the correct one, turning the switch on to have Pyro pop up into the middle of one of the screens. Sitting down in a nearby chair, Skylar attentively watched with his feet up on the control counter as he waited until the optimal time to visit his dear friend.

"That would be my call," Skylar smiled, taking his feet off of the counter and standing up out of the chair. He strolled out of the room, walking down a series of twists and turns before he arrived at Pyro's cell. "What did you do?" he asked Pyro, coming out of the perpendicular hallway into Pyro's line of sight, as he stared into the boy's eyes with a sense of cruelty sulking behind.

"Or why don't I keep it on, and you can find out exactly what I am capable of?" Skylar quietly and strongly spoke back to Pyro. Kneeling down at Kira's body, Skylar moved some of the hair out of Kira's face. "Must be so hard," he began, "having the last memory implanted in your brain as the sight of her being taken away." Skylar paused for a moment, making sure Pyro really soaked in what he had just said. "Let's face it, fire boy, you lost."

"Let's try this, then," Skylar proposed to Pyro. "Murderer," he whispered at Pyro and took a look back at Kira. "And mutants who use their powers for evil don't deserve to have them."

Skylar waited patiently through Pyro's argument and thought deeply about how to respond. The boy did not understand, and Skylar did not want to take all of the fun away from Pyro. "It isn't if they care, but, rather, if you care," Skylar responded a few moments after Pyro had finished, "About the murderer thing."

"Very well," Skylar said, turning around and walking away, contemplating idea after idea in his head as to how to show this boy the full punishment for murder.

Skylar walked back to the control room, where a few of his employed workers were gathered around a table. A scientist was in the back; his eyes watched, mesmerized, as Skylar entered the room.
"What news do you have for me?" Skylar asked the group as he took a seat and watched Pyro once again.
The group remained silent until one of the men turned around and urged the scientist to speak his findings.
"Oh okay," the scientist stuttered through the beginning, "after much testing, we found the possibility to be able to take away a mutant's powers through assessing the gene and..."
"Thank you," Skylar interrupted the scientist, "there is only one more thing I need to know, will it only take away the powers?"
"Uh.. um.. uh.. we aren't entirely sure," the scientist thought out loud, "we have done a few lab tests, but we don't have the nature of the results to be positive that nothing will happen to the mutant. We just need more time and..."
"I have just the test crew for you," Skylar shrewdly stated, "I can pick out five or so that would work."
"Oh okay, well, if we get their consensus, yes... I guess so."
"I have someone that I can get for you as soon as you are ready, when would you like him?"
"Let's see. We have to move the equipment and transport the..."
"Just tell me when you will be ready."
"I'll say... Thursday.. two days from now, at the soonest."
"Very well. I will see you again Thursday."
With that, Skylar bid the scientist farewell for the moment, and the scientist slowly strutted out of the door to begin the lengthy process of getting the experimental procedures set up. Smirking, Skylar looked back around towards the televisions.
